Join us as we welcome poets Tina Cane, Camille, Guthrie, and Natalie Shapero for readings and a discussion on their craft.
Tina Cane serves as the poet laureate of Rhode Island, where she lives with her husband and their three children. She is also the founder and director of Writers-in-the-Schools, RI and is an instructor with the writing community, Frequency Providence. Cane is the author of The Fifth Thought, Dear Elena: Letters for Elena Ferrante, Once More With Feeling and the forthcoming Body of Work.
Camille Guthrie is the author of three books of poetry, the most recent being Articulated Lair: Poems for Louise Bourgeois. She graduated from the MFA writing program at Brown a while ago, and now she is the Director of Undergraduate Writing at Bennington College. She lives in Vermont with her two children.
Natalie Shapero is the Professor of the Practice of Poetry at Tufts University and an editor at large of the Kenyon Review. Her poetry collections are Hard Child and No Object, and her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Poetry, The Nation, and elsewhere.
